How it Works

  • We require bookings at least 2 weeks in advance. Please contact us if you need to schedule something in a shorter timeline.
  • Our standard event is 30 minutes, but you can add another half hour of mixology, and / or 2 rounds of remote trivia
  • We can feature up to 2 drinks per half hour. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic options are available. Tell us your cocktail / mocktail preferences and we will work with you to best accommodate your needs
  • During the event, our bartender will walk everyone through the recipes and methods for the beverages that are featured
  • Participants can either follow along with our bartender and mix their own drinks, or just sit back and observe. We’ll provide you with a list of relevant ingredients in advance, which you can pass along to your attendees. Those who will be mixing drinks can purchase the ingredients in advance from their preferred vendor
  • A bartender kit is recommended, but not required, for folks who will be following along

+ BOOKING PROCESS

+How far in advance do I need to book?

We require bookings at least 2 weeks in advance. You can check our real time availability in the “Book Now” widget. If your desired time isn’t available, or you need to schedule something in a shorter timeline, please schedule time with our event coordinators and we’ll see what we can do

+How does the event get scheduled?

Once you complete your booking above, you’ll automatically receive a confirmation with all of the details that you need for the event! We’ll provide a unique Zoom meeting room link, as well as instructions for you to share with your colleagues on how to setup Zoom

+Can you host with other video conferencing software?

We have a strong preference for Zoom because its breakout room function enables the smoothest experience. When necessary, we’ve hosted events on Google Meet, Microsoft Teams and Cisco WebEx for smaller groups, but they tend to have a slightly more clunky experience

+Can your event handle hybrid teams that are partly in-office and partly remote?

Yes, this event can handle hybrid teams. When you book, indicate that part of your team will be in the same physical space. One of our event coordinators will follow up with you to coordinate logistics.

+Can we work with you to customize the schedule?

Yes! If you have any special requests, please schedule time with our event coordinators

+ PREPARING FOR THE EVENT

+What do I need to do in advance?

After you book, share the unique Zoom meeting link from your confirmation.

When you book, you will be asked to provide any drink preferences you might have. One of our event coordinators will follow up with you to coordinate and best accommodate your needs.

Folks can either follow along and mix drinks with our bartender, or just sit back and observe. Once the desired drinks are finalized, our bartender will provide a list of relevant ingredients which you can pass along to your participants. Those who want to follow along can purchase the ingredients in advance from their preferred vendor.

Participants who will be mixing their own drinks are encouraged, but not required, to purchase a bartender kit, if they don’t already have one.

+Do you handle event registrations?

We do not handle event registrations at this time. We found that event registration was best handled by team and event organizers who have full context for the attendees. We’re happy to suggest ways to manage this process if helpful

+What type of setup do I need?

There is no special setup needed for participants who are just observing.

For the folks who will be following along with our bartender and mixing their own drinks, you will be provided a list of relevant ingredients. You can pass this along to your participants who can purchase the ingredients in advance.

+What happens once the event starts?

The group signs onto Zoom, and after the meeting has reached capacity and folks are settled in (usually after 3-5 mins), our virtual bartender will begin the first drink.

+Can participants ask the bartender questions?

Absolutely! We encourage attendees to use the meeting chat to ask questions or make comments. Along with the bartender, a BreakoutIQ host will be present facilitate any questions or discussions.

+Who is this for? What is the purpose of this activity?

This activity is for work teams who are looking to form richer connections with each other while learning to mix their favorite alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.

+Is this appropriate for a corporate audience? Will anyone be uncomfortable?

It is appropriate for corporate audiences. Our expert event facilitators have hosted many events for many different teams, and the activity itself features no mature content.

+Can we customize the event?

When you book, you will have the option to add another half hour of mixology and / or 2 rounds of remote trivia. We are happy to work with you to provide the experience that you’re looking for and will do our best to accommodate your needs. Please schedule time with our event coordinators to discuss.
